The Shop
Welcome to modern cycle retailing. Here at Red Kite Cycles we are leading the way with our new store packed with bikes and probably the widest range of clothing and accessories in the region
We are easy to find, located just off the Stratford Road in Shirley and only 5 minutes from J4 of the M42. If you come by car we have plenty of parking and if our car park is full (it happens) there is more nearby. If you arrive by bike then we can offer secure cycle parking.
We have two showroom floors including specific women’s and children’s areas, books and maps and a service centre, not forgetting the changing rooms and lounge area with complimentary drinks, bean bag and magazines to browse.
We only stock what we think works well and offers good value to the customer whether riding on or off road, for leisure, commuting or competition. In addition to bikes, we also have a good stock of spares to keep your machine going and other accessories to make your ride more comfortable and pleasant.
The Staff
Between them our staff have a huge range of knowledge and expertise covering all aspects of cycling. This includes local and elite level road racing, time trials, track, triathlon, MTB XC and marathon racing, cyclo cross, 4 cross, and even some BMX. That is not to say that we are off racing every weekend. We also find time for commuting, club rides, sportifs and some rides just for the fun of it. We have also tried cycle camping at home and abroad, YHA touring as well as general family riding with younger children. Highlights include cycling across America, the C2C with children as well as continental sportifs such as the Tour of Flanders and the Etape de Tour.
All of our staff are individuals with their own cycling likes and dislikes, there is more information available on everyone so you can get to know them all a bit better before you come into the shop.
