Bike Fitting

The human body is very adaptable and will fit to a wide variety of cycling positions. Unfortunately not all of them will be comfortable or efficient. It is much better to make the bike fit the rider than the other way round.

Our  in house specialist fit system will take you through all the steps needed to ensure your bike fits you resulting in:-

  • improved comfort
  • better control of your bike
  • reduced stress

We have always taken great care to fit customers correctly on their bikes whether they are active racers or newly converted leisure riders. After many years experience of riding in groups, either training, racing or club riding we have developed an eye for when someone looks comfortable and efficient. In the past we have used Bikefitting.com to help determine the correct fit but found that in many cases this was providing the best results. We have recently completed some training run in partnership with Trek and CycleFit. CycleFit is run by Phillip Cavell and Julian Wall who were by trained Serrota in the USA and have been doing it since the early 90’s so must be the two most experienced fitters in the country.

This has given us a fresh insight into the art of fitting the bike to the rider and has equipped us with better tools to accomplish this. However it is not a 5 minute job, more like a couple of hours! So if you want to take advantage of this facility then contact us to make a booking. Whilst we can’t claim to cure all aches and pains we can make your riding experience much more comfortable and efficient.

    Hi

I have bought a triathlon bike and after racing yesterday have realised it isn’t correctly fitted. When are your bike fitting times and how much does it cost?

    Thanks

    Dave

The Bike Fitting service is by appointment only, but a phone call to the store is all it takes to get a time to suit.
