Hello guys,
I'm looking to spend a cyclescheme voucher on my first road bike. I am coming from a track background, and am used to an aggressive position on the bike.
I'm looking to enter the shakespeare ride soon, and after doing the Birmingham to Oxford ride on a fixed gear - i need to make things more "comfortable". Can you advise on the popular choices for the £1000 mark if available. I'm roughly a 54cm frame.
Thanks for all your help

Size should not be a problem for you, there are some large, tough bikes out there! Ones to consider might be bikes like the Specialized TriCross or the Marin Toscana. Either of these would provide a comfortable ride with the ability to carry luggage.

Hi

I am embarking on a 1000 mile road trip next spring and having spent a few years on a mountain bike (singular 29er) i am now obviously looking for a road bike for this trip.

Issue is I am 6'6" and about 17 stone (ex rugby player)

Need some advice as to what would best suit for me for this trip!!

I am reasonably local (Market Harborough) so will be able to pop in once we have a plan

Help!!
