The cafe at Wellesbourne airfield

The airfield at Wellesbourne near Warwick has a small tearooms adjacent to the control tower. This is one of the cheapest cups of tea you will find around and they also do fruit cake and all day breakfasts. This is a very popular watering hole for local cyclists as well as motor bikers and the local police can often be seen there as well. Best avoided at peak times at the weekend in summer as it can get very busy but good for a mid week stop. Summer is a good time too as you can sit out on the terrace and watch the planes taking off and landing and they often have interesting machines coming in and out.
